What we do

About FCC

College Readiness

Future College Curls has a holistic approach to college readiness that includes  skills such as critical thinking, time management, communication, decision making, and money management.  We believe these skills help  our girls not only survive freshman year, but THRIVE throughout their entire college experience and beyond!

Leadership Development

We create positive environments where our FCC members can discover the leader within themselves. We do this by giving our girls places to practice leading. This may look like reading to a classroom of fourth graders, organizing a fundraiser for a club activity, creating t-shirts for senior scholarships or manning the serving line during a “Pancake Day!” At the end of the day, we deem it imperative to allow them to practice, practice, practice. Afterall, practice makes progress and in our case, births leaders.

self-Love Development

Now, more than ever, teen girls are experiencing an insane amount of pressure to be something they’re not. Everywhere they turn, they are constantly bombarded with messages of perfection and unrealistic standards. One of the biggest skills that our girls will need in order to thrive in life, is the skill of loving themselves. Through intentional workshops, activities and our annual girls conference, we provide our goals with tools to learn how to love who they truly are.
